#0050 A moment's break...

Hey Loved One,
I want to start off by saying thank you to David and Mohan for their contributions to last week's musical celebration of life. There's nothing like sharing each other's musical loves.
Now, have you got 15 mins? I’m in film mode at the moment. Having recently been made a director of a national cultural film festival - full announcement in April alongside the festival - I'm immersed in the world of independent filmmakers at the moment as well as working with my team to produce brand new programming. So in that spirit, I wanted to introduce you to Chasing The Night.
A film by Abraham Adeyemi, this sweet short film stars Sope Dirisu (Gangs of London) and Deborah Ayorinde (Riches) as Leon and Fatima, reconnecting after some time apart.

I watched it twice, mainly to make sure I didn't miss anything and to enjoy these two stunning Black talents on screen. I also watched it to be clear on all the countless moments I wouldn't have had Fatima's restraint (🥵). I really wanted to share some art this morning as I think we need moments of beauty and to see Black British stories on screen. It also gives me another chance to share this picture of Sope and I. (🤭)

Until next week, loved ones
