#0046 Learning all the lessons

Hey Loved One,

So, I finished my mini-MBA… and now I’m studying with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). I know. What am I on?! I had planned for this first quarter to be a time to upskill. I love learning new things, and they’re all feeding into me and the new businesses I’m working on at the moment.

My tip this week, for those who’ve started using ChatGPT, is to use it to create an independent learning programme. For example, my next move is to chair or return to a board. A few years ago, I sat on the board of an incredible charity called Womankind Worldwide, which is dedicated to supporting women from the Global South. At the time, I wanted to use my skills to help women and girls, and the charity had done some work in Sierra Leone which was super important to me. I met some amazing people and even hosted their 30th anniversary party which was a huge honour.

Now, I’m ready to return and am currently having conversations about a couple of board roles, including one I believe I could definitively thrive in so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Whenever that choice role shows up, I’ll be ready because I’ve asked ChatGPT to pull together a training programme covering all the areas I need to develop. It pulled a mix of paid and free training to help me build that muscle while I scout for the right role. It’s a bit like dressing for the job you want before you get it.

So no matter what skill you’re developing, get ChatGPT to act as your personal development coach.

I’m leaving you today with an interview I did with fellow marketing professional Ebony Gayle. Ebony’s phenomenal podcast, Gems in Comms, spotlights people of colour in the industry, and this was my most honest conversation to date, maybe a little too honest at times…

If you get a chance, have a listen. A massive thank you to Ebony for inviting me onto her podcast!

Until next week, loved one
